JOINING Sassafras Grove, ADFUNDER CONSTRUCTION - - for further info about joining, please email: info@sassafrasgrove.org Why Join Sassafras? For the past 16 years, Sassafras Grove has been providing the Pittsburgh Area Neopagan Community with quality, open celebrations of the eight High Days of the ritual year. As of Winter Solstice 2008, we have hosted 131 public High-Day rites in a row! Serving the gods and our community is a labor of love for us, but we cannot do it without your support. And the best way to support The Grove is by becoming a member. As a Sassafras Grove member, you have the opportunity to:
PLEASE REMEMBER: JOINING SASSAFRAS GROVE AND ADF DOES NOT NECESSARILY Our members identify themselves as Wiccans, Magicians, Druids, eclectic Pagans, and even atheists! Some identify themselves as more than one. We are not trying to convert anyone to the “One True Druid Way.” By definition, ADF Druidry is focused on supporting the diversity of spiritual visions and practices found in our local Neopagan community. By providing quality, open Neopagan rites for the High Days we hope to set a good example, remaining an accessible and reliable ongoing part of the Pittsburgh Area Neopagan Community’s resources. But it is a cold, hard fact that doing this work requires money as well as manpower; money for space rentals, printing and mailing costs, website maintenance, and ritual supplies. By joining the Grove you will be helping to make sure that our work continues at the level of quality on which our community has come to rely. There are several levels of membership from which you can choose: Levels of MembershipFull Grove Member Full Grove Members belong to both ADF and Sassafras Grove and are expected to participate in at least four public Grove events a year. Full members are entitled to seek office in Sassafras Grove and vote in all National ADF elections, Grove elections, and Grove policy making decisions. Local Grove Member Local members belong to Sassafras Grove but not to ADF and are expected to participate in at least four High Day rites a year. Local members are entitled to vote in Grove policy making decisions. Friend of the Grove Friends of the Grove support the Grove primarily through their financial or in-kind donation. They are not expected to participate in High Day rites (but are most welcome to do so) and hold no voting or decision-making privileges. Note: grove memberships -can- be paid in installments... To become a member of Sassafras Grove, please fill out the (soon to be) attached membership form and send it with your check to the address on the form.
